Reading is how you actually learn a language

Most apps teach you words. Then you meet a real sentence and it's still a wall. The fix is reading — lots of it, just above your level — but that's hard to arrange: parallel texts are clunky, graded readers are static, and “just read children's books” gets old fast.

plotlingo starts every scene mostly in English and hands over words to the language you're learning — more of them as your vocabulary grows. You read a real story, tap anything you don't know, and rate the words at the end. The next scene leans a little harder on what you've learned.

What's inside

A growing catalog of short, everyday stories — a haircut, a lost phone, a bus into town — in Spanish, French and German. Each takes a few minutes to read, which is the point: stories you actually finish.

Who makes it

plotlingo is an independent project, built on a simple bet: that the reading experience should measure what you know and meet you there, instead of asking you to place yourself. Feedback of any kind is genuinely welcome at hello@plotlingo.com.
